RACE STRUCTURE

There are four equidistant routes to the top of the Trundle from the surrounding villages.

When signing up you will choose your route, which is linked to the village and the pub within that village.

Two days before the race you will be assigned a start time (between 10am-1pm) that is unique to you.

At that start time, you will be racing against three other competitors from the other routes which will be selected based on category (family bubble, runner etc) and expected time.

The race selection will be as fair as possible.

All the routes will converge at the car park, with a final 600m "sprint" to the top. This is where you will catch sight of your opponents.

Points will be awarded dependent on your race result and will go towards your total pub's tally:

First Place - 5 points

Second Place - 4 points

Third Place - 3 points

Forth Place - 2 points

No show - 0 points

OTHER POINTS

All spectators welcome in the car park and along the route to the top

Fancy Dress - particularly Medieval to honour the folklore is encouraged

Competitors pick their route, however some routes are more popular than others and should the route oversubscribe we will adopt a "first come, first served" approach to the routes. If you don't get the route you wish, you will be offered other routes. You will definitely get to race!
